Spring Winners x 3

Tom Ballington, age 13. Tom has started the season in fine form. He has already scored over 500 runs including making his debut for the men's 3rd XI. This form has helped him secure a place in the Essex team. He is definitely a 1st XI cricketer for the future.
£200 grant has been spent on:
Portable net for batting practice when wet.

Jermaine Franklyn, age 15. New to the club this year Jermaine has shown excellent commitment and dedication to improving. He has worked tirelessly in training and has not missed a training session. The commitment has seen him represent the 4th XI on a regular basis.
£200 grant will be spent on:
A trip to watch Essex CC play a match.

George Davies, age 14. George has shown excellent commitment to training and had been superb for the U15 this year. He is a fantastic batsmen and wicket-keeper and has excelled in these. He has also been great for team spirit with his positive attitude in even tough situations.
£200 grant has been spent on:
A new piece of fielding equipment called the crazy catcher freestyle.

Summer Winners x 3

Ed Spiro, age 15. Ed has been with cricket club for a few years and in that time he has rarely missed a training session. This commitment has seen plenty of runs scored this year and is a regular fixture in the 4s.
£200 grant has been spent on:
Leg Pad covers for coloured kits.

Aaron Babai, age 15. Aaron has been outstanding this year with bat and ball performing very consistently. This has helped him lead the averages for the Matchplay side in both areas of the game.
£200 grant to be spent:
Towards organising the Colts Presentation Evening and Jack Petchey Presentation Evening. There will also be a Jack Petchey Match during the day where all past and present winners will be invited to play. Money will be spent on winners' medals, BBQ for players and spectators and additional awards.

Charlie Nowlan, age 16. Charlie has worked very hard in his 3 years at Shenfield and this has now helped him gain recognition at county level. He has represented Essex 3 times and performed admirably for them.
£200 grant has been spent on:
Caps for all colts teams.

Autumn Winners x 2

Henry Hill, age 14. Henry has a superb attitude towards cricket training and is dedicated to improving in every session. He is always willing to step in, in the last minute for the 4th XI when someone pulls out at the last minute.
£200 grant has been spent on:
New padding for super sopper and drainage equipment so less games and training get cancelled.

Jack Newton, age 13. Jack has been at the club since he was 8 and has progressed supberly since then. His hard work and dedication has paid off and he has broken into the Essex County side for the U14 age group.
£200 grant has been spent on:
Specialist wicket keeping coaching sessions to help Jack and the other young wicket keepers continue to progress. (3 wicket keepers at the club playing for their County age groups)
