2017 AWARD WINNERS
Established in 1999, the Jack Petchey Foundation makes grants to programmes and projects that benefit young people aged 11-25.Shenfield Cricket Club is a member of the Achievement Awards Programme that recognises those young people who have gone above and beyond.
Spring Winners
Jack Plom, age 17. Jack has made an outstanding contribution to coaching the Colts section at the club over the past two years.
On the playing side, he has already produced
two “man of the match” performances in T20 matches this season, scoring 57 & 82 runs.
He has been rewarded for his efforts with call ups to the Development XI for the County. He has batted with discipline when necessary this term but his natural game
is a positive and explosive one.
Jack is a very exciting prospect who has made an excellent start to the season.
Ryan Plom, age 24.has been an integral member of Shenfield’s batting line up for two seasons now and has recently taken up wicket keeping
two “man of the match” performances in T20 matches this season, scoring 57 & 82 runs for the first XI.
He has trained extremely hard and done an outstanding job. He currently is top of the whole of Essex for wicket keeping dismissals, which is no mean feat!
Ryan’s attitude to training and leadership on the pitch have seen him nominated for this award.
Jasper Stuckey, age 14. Jasper joined the club when he was 7. He has progressed significantly in recent years and was selected for the District U13 last year.
He has also taken on the captaincy of the SCC U15 team, where he does a great job encouraging and supporting his team members.
He is also a very good batsman, who is also developing other parts of his game very well.
