30 August 2017Martin has volunteered his time tirelessly at Shenfield Cricket Club in the Colts section for the past 15 years, assisting in the growth of the club to 225+ children.
He has held a number of official roles including Colts Chairman, Colts Secretary and Membership Secretary. Martin coordinated and participated in the recent crowd funding initiative to raise £20,000 to fund new practice facilities.
He allows players, both colts and seniors, to use his personal nets at his home and has arranged and compered numerous social functions at SCC, including quiz and race nights to raise funds.
He allows SCC to use Brook Weald Cricket Club for colts matches when we do not have pitches available at home, enabling us to complete our numerous fixtures.
He goes above and beyond in every way and is always friendly and helpful to all.
His £700 award went towards the pavilion refurbishment project: - curtains, carpets and seating.
