21 August 2022Last year Tom made an ambitious change from being a wrist spinner to a quick left arm seam bowler. With hard work he progressed quickly, working his way up to Shenfield’s second eleven and he finished the 2021 season with 38 wickets, including a match winning 5 for 19.
Tom has rightly been recognized in 2022 by the Essex county setup and has performed well for the Essex Academy side in 20/20 cricket. Tom is also a capable batsman, scoring 350 runs for Shenfield in 2021 and continuing to work hard on his batting. Tom has assisted with the Colts coaching at Shenfield and contributes to the club spirit with his effort in training and great demeanour.
The £300 from Tom's award will be put towards repairs for the nets.
